Teaching at UABC
I am a professor at the Autonomous University of Baja California, where I teach the course "Arthropods" to fourth-semester Biology students. In this course, we explore the diversity, morphology, and evolutionary relationships of arthropods, covering the following topics:
-
Introduction to Phylum Arthropoda: General characteristics and diversity.
-
Basic Arthropod Morphology: Structures and adaptations.
-
Panarthropoda: Related groups and their evolution.
-
Crustacean Morphology: Key structures and their functions.
-
Arachnid Morphology: Adaptations and diversity.
-
Myriapod Morphology: Detailed study of centipedes and millipedes.
-
Phylogenetic Relationships: Evolution and kinship among groups.
This course provides students with a solid foundation for understanding the biology and ecology of one of the most diverse and important groups in the animal kingdom.
